Duration of courses and general itinerary.
The Weekender.
Beginning on Friday evening guests arrive after 5.30pm and before 7.00pm giving time to settle in and make themselves at home.
Drinks at 7.00pm in the lounge or garden and dinner at 7.30 in the kitchen - dining room.
Saturday morning starts with breakfast at 8.30am ( or 7.15 am if you want to walk the dog with Pete.) You have a choice of
breakfasts, with unlimited tea coffee and juice.
We gather in the studio at 9.30am for an introductory talk, a review of any work and get into groups depending on which media
you choose
to work in. Often on the first day we work in the studio or locations nearby. More advanced painters will be taken
to more challenging places to paint. Demos and preliminary sketching and painting for the morning.
Lunch is 12.30 pm. - 1.30pm. Buffet in the house or a light lunch on location.
The afternoon is spent painting in more detail, after preliminary discussion we work individually with all guests. Coffee and biscuits
in the afternoon. Tutoring ends at 4.30pm, guests can paint for as long as they choose. At 5.30pm you can take a relaxing walk,
stretch your legs with the dog, or book in for a massage or reflexology. Or why not chill out in the garden.
Dinner is at 7.00 pm dress is casual and comfortable. Coffee in the lounge or garden to round up the day.
On Sunday we discuss how the previous day went and highlight any tricky areas to watch out for, to improve or develop. Guests
can ask questions and ask for
demonstration of techniques to help them with their second day of painting.
There can be a more complex demonstration using several techniques in one painting. Or a step by step tutorial for beginners.
New locations if required. Painting up to lunchtime.

Sunday afternoon- finishing off - working to finish any piece started during the weekend. Individual tuition and discussions on progress
of each guest. 4.00pm Coffee and biscuits to round up the day in the studio viewing all the work achieved during the weekend.

We gather in the studio at 9.30am, time is given to finish off anything started the previous day, before moving on to a new topic.
Each day runs in a similar way, except Thursdays when we decide as a group whether to take a day off and visit a local sight, as a
day off getting to see something of the local area or visit the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan or St Ives. Guests can
choose to take drawing, sketching and painting kits with them if they want to. Teaching continues if required.
The course finishes at 4.30pm on Friday afternoon.
