Brambles Art Retreat - At Chateau Bel Enault - Normandy, France.
French Trip 2008
August 31st - September 7th - 7 nights.
from Poole to Cherbourg. Its only a 40 minute drive to the Chateau from the port. There is a maximum of 10 painting places, non painters are very welcome, there are two tutors,
Janet Brady specialising in Watercolour and Drawing and Peter Davies in Oil, Acrylic, Watersoluable Oil, Watersoluable Graphite and Charcoal.
Demonstrations by the tutors each day, plenty of individual attention and you can try a different medium during the week if you want to.
All rooms are spacious and ensuite, the food and wine is delicious and plentiful.

typical Normandy style. Chateau Bellenau is famous for its beautiful gardens and follies, there are very exciting places to paint, canals, lakes, exotic plants,
old buildings and much more. The coast is only ten minutes drive away and there are many picturesque French villages nearby.

Accommodation is provided in the Chateau with spacious single and double rooms, all ensuite. The Chateau has its own lounge, dining room and great studio space.
It has tennis Court, boluses pitch and you can also hire Mountain bikes. Horse riding treks can also be organized at your request. To enhance your retreat there
is a hot tub and dance studio, also massage can be arranged on request. The painting course lasts six days with seven nights accommodation, it is fully residential
and our hosts will provide all meals with typical French cuisine. Wine or beer, with meals, is included in the price. To sample some more of the superb local French cuisine,
we eat at a local restaurant mid week**.

You can make your own way to the Chateau in France or travel with us by ferry from Poole. Departure very early at 7.30am on the "fastcat" service arriving in France at 10.45am.
Check in is 6.30am collection rendezvous would be 6.00am in the Passenger Terminal at the Ferry in Poole. Its really worth the early start as the Seacat transfer is very quick,
only two and a half hours.
