Art Parties
We offer our facilities to groups for corporate, birthday or special occasion events.
We tailor the event to meet your needs. It can be a day event or for a whole weekend.
Loosely based around art, with additional activities such as walking on the moors and dinner at a local restaurant or bar.
Food and wine can all be sourced locally for a great West Country experience.
Accommodation can be arranged here and in local b&bs.
Previous events we have held are:
Fortieth Birthday Celebration - 12 Painters.
Birthday girl from Zurich - Switzerland, guests from Finland, Sweden, and UK.
Itinerary - Arrive Brambles Friday evening at 6.00pm - Check in here and local b&bs.
Drinks 7.00pm
Welcome Buffet Supper 8.00pm - 11.00pm.
Saturday - Breakfast 8.30am - 9.30am
9.30am - 10.30am - Whole group - learn drawing skills.
10.30am - 10 45am - Coffee and biscuits.
10.45am - 12.30pm - Split into two groups: A Watercolour, Group B Acrylic.
Introduction to the medium, paint a still life or a local landscape.
12.30pm - 1.30pm - Lunch - Local Pasties, Salad, and Scrumpy.
1.30pm - 4.30pm Walk on the Moors at Lydford, Dartmoor.
4.30pm back to accommodation.
7.00pm meet to got to the Pub for the Birthday Dinner- Bearslake Inn - Lydford. Photographs taken for portraits.
7.30pm Dinner
1030pm Collected from Pub returned to accommodation.
Sunday - Breakfast 8.30am - 9.30am
9.30 am, whole group draw a portrait of another member of the group from large photos.
Drawings transferred to big canvas.
Paint applied in the style of Andy Warhol, colour and style.
10.30am - 10 45am - Coffee and biscuits.
10 45am - 12.30pm - painting the large canvas.
12.30pm - 1.30pm - Lunch - Sunday Roast, Leg of Leg of Lamb with all the trimmings.
1.30pm - 3.00pm - Finish painting.
3.00pm - Finish - Depart to Airports.
